LAST CALL! 35% OFF! Offered is an attractive example of a vintage pincushion. Shoe were popular hosts for pincushions at the end of the 1880's and early 1900's. This one is a woman's brown leather shoe with a medium high heel. What helps to make this unique is the green and white seed bead trim that surrounds the rim of the shoe and then has a small circle tassel at the toe. We also find the remnant of a gold tone bow above the toe. There is plain beading around the sole and upper juncture. The shoe has a faded fabric cushion which we think may be original. This is stuffed with ? very well--it provides a hard surface for the shoe. It is 4" long, 2" tall and 1" wide. It is in good vintage condition, the leather is nicely mottled with no tears and no stains. The beading appears intact, but is not fully tacked to the shoe. Item 47207a Lot 6/1/7
