SALE! 15% OFF! Oh, those Flappers--they sure knew how to dress for the shimmy. This is a deco style, 1920 era beaded dress in a captivating combination of peach and electric blue. Unfortunately, this wonderful piece needs to be offered for repair or salvage. We will get to that in a moment, but let's explore what makes this so special. The chiffon section is in peach and is heavily beaded in clear and electric blue beads. The design is a combination of heart and scroll offset with scattered clear beads. This has a drop waist, deep armholes. The chiffon is over peach crepe. The skirt has panels at the front, sides and back in beading. The design flares as it reaches the uneven hem. The main problem with condition is at the shoulders, which are torn. They are being held precariously by the clear bead edging. The deterioration is mostly on the crepe fabric at the shoulder and perhaps could tolerate a repair. There may also be small holes in the chiffon, although we had trouble locating any. There may also be bead loss--again none that is very noticeable. Details: 29" armhole; the bust was too hard for us to measure given the depth of the armholes; 38 1/2" waist and 37" hip; 49 1/2" shoulder to hem. We have not cleaned this item. We hope someone will take note of this special piece and offer a restoration or someone will use the beautiful beading and chiffon for salvage. This weighs approximately 1 1/2 pounds. Item 43266a
