Simply Sophisticated 1940 Era Tilt Hat Black Corde' New York Creations

Simply sophisticated 1940 era tilt hat. In black, it was designed by Corde'. For those familiar with Corde' handbags from the same era--this design will not be a surprise. The body of the hat is thin "cords" woven into geometric designs (sorry this feature is not showing well in the pics). The small crown is encircled with a stiff large gauge veil. At the very back, the hat separates slightly. The label reads Genuine Corde' New York Creations (a millinery organization that promoted several different brands).
Size: 2" tall at crown; 4" across, 2" at the back; 8 1/2" side to side; 9 7/*' front to back; 11 1/2" inner band circumference
Condition: good vintage-note the inner band has normal wear soil
