LAST CALL! 25% OFF! Offered is an unusual spring or summer hat. In a sheer cream tone stiff net, it is formed of thin bands woven together. The bands form a brim and rise 4" to form the base. The crown is open but plays host to a large 10 1/4 x 5 1/2" bow. A ribbon circles the juncture of brim and crown. The surprise is a wired velvet cord attached to the center that may have been formed into a bow previously. We are having a little trouble dating this. The style is close to cloche popular in the '20's/'30's. The sheer net is also familiar to this time period. We feel that hat could host additional decoration, such as vintage millinery flowers. We did find a Consumer Protection Label which appears to date from 1938 to the 1950's according to a website Vintage Fashion by Sammy Davis. Details: 2 3/4" brim; 4" high; 4" across open crown; 22" inner circumference. We found no holes and no stains, but there is normal wear soil on the inside gros grain ribbon serving as the edge for the interior. Item 3217a
