SALE! 15% OFF! Offered is a vintage, mid century hat in a popular combination of fur and felt from the '40's-'60's. It has a band of chestnut brown fur with deep brown stripes. The body and crown of the hat is in a milk chocolate tone of brown felt. At the back, three brown felt bows appear. This carries a label identifying it as a Carolyn Hat from Madison Wisc (abbreviation prior to the PO mandated two letter abbreviation). We are not sure what type of fur this is. It resembles mink in the color, but it is coarser and with a longer nap than mink. Details: the fur band is 4" wide; the hat is 6 1/2" front to back and 5 1/2" side to side with an 18 1/2"inner circumference. We believe this was meant to sit high on the head as demonstrated. Yet, we would caution that we had trouble fitting this on the head of our smallest head model. The hat will require combs to keep it in place, but we found none with it. There are no holes and no stains and no odor. Original listing price $35 Item 14138a
