SALE! 15% OFF! Offered is an early edition of a Golden Book written and illustrated by Johnny Gruelle, author of the Raggedy Ann series of children's books. This is titled Johnny Gruelle's Golden Book published by M. N. Donohue and Company. It was copyrighted in 1925 and 1929. This was given as a gift to Linda by Aunt Marie and Aunt Stella in 1944. We are sure she enjoyed it and the colorful illustrations completing the 21 stories over an expanse of 95 pages. We are not professional book sellers so forgive any misuse of the correct terminology. The covers are in good vintage condition although there is rubbing at the corners and edges of the boards (or as we would say, the edges look well thumbed to us) and there is some spotting. The inside pages are in very good vintage condition--the color illustrations remain bright and engaging. The inscription to Linda appears on the front endpaper. The last page is torn at the spine. The book is 9 1/2 x 12 x 3/4". It weighs almost 2 pounds. Linda was a very lucky girl--we bought at auction many of her children's books. Watch for more to be listed in the future. At this time we are also going to list Miss Sniff, a Fuzzy Wuzzy book listed as 1278b. Original price $38. Item 1278a Lot 1/1/8
