LAST CALL! 40% OFF! Offered is a lovely example of Victorian era hand work. On a wine tone silk (we believe) background, we find a remnant featuring embroidery in chain stitch. The subject is flowers, most notably white daisies with gold centers and blossoms in lilac and purple and in pink and white. Green stems and leaves tie the blossoms together. This is backed in a chestnut tone heavy cotton. We are not sure what the original piece was, but are sure it was beautiful. This remnant is cut on the angle at 9" at each end. One angle is 19 1/2" and the other is 19". There is fraying of the edges, but we found no holes and no stains. This was purchased at auction of a well-known Midwestern antique collector and seller who only dealt in the best, to which this piece testifies. Item 1117a Lot L12/1/6
