LAST CALL! 35% OFF! We are most pleased to offer this outstanding example of a cigar or cheroot holder. This is truly a gem--it is composed of quality materials and is handsome in the extreme. The tip or holder is a butterscotch tone amber. We have confirmed that with our local jeweler. The ring is hallmarked and an internet search confirms this is Birmingham England sterling (anchor, lion, n). It is also marked AF & Co. which is the Adolf Frankau company which was producing for the tobacco pipe market at least as early as 1902 with the mark as it appears here. And, amazingly, this was found in its original leather and velvet case. The velvet is a seafoam green and is marked with PBB in gold lettering in a shield. It has a teeny metal push closure. There is lettering on the back of the case which we cannot quite read -- we have detected "made" and "Sienna"--a reference to the leather, we believe. The opening at the mouthpiece is 5/8" in diameter thus the reference to cheroot. The piece is 2 3/4" long and 2 1/8" in circumference. The holder is in very fine condition with no issues noted. The case is also in fine, used condition. Item 107256a Lotj10-12
