SALE! 30% OFF! We love offering "as found" vintage items. Especially if they are handiwork items still awaiting completion in their original work bag. What we have here is a sweet muslin (?) drawstring work bag with hand embroidered pink butterflies on the front. The pink ribbon drawstring is lined in pink cotton and opens to reveal the original contents. And, what treasures we found inside. There are a 14 x7 pink filet crochet piece intended as an insert or perhaps a portion of a nightgown yoke. We found the same design in a more salmon tone with its thread still attached. Therein is a problem because the attached pink ball of thread is tangled with the remnants of a beige ball and a pink satin ribbon. Also found were two balls of pink labeled as Peri Luster "30" plus a partial ball of beige. There are 3 filet crochet eggshell tone inserts or medallions plus another in same pattern in L shape. We found one crinkled envelope with 2 pieces of tatting at 19" each. We found a graph for the letters GFB and a package remnant for Peri Lusta 709 pink (part of package for the balls listed above). And, we found an empty envelope mailed from St Paul MN on January 10 1917, which we believe to be from the time period of all the contents. We have hand laundered the work bag and all the filet crochet pieces--except for the salmon tone one with the thread attached. The work bag is in good 100 year condition--there is a dot size hole at the back. The ribbon serving as the drawstring is frayed, but remember, there is ribbon tangled with the one partial ball of thread. Original price $45 Item 10237a Lot L1/1/8
