22" Antique Bisque Peter Scherf Doll in Antique Dress. Harder to find doll made by the Peter Scherf Doll Company. He started making dolls in 1890 and used Armand Marseille to make many of his lovely dolls. They were of a good quality and had beautiful dolly faces. This darling girl has blue stationary eyes in their original set and finely painted upper and lower lashes. Her brows are beautifully feathered with a sheen the early dolls had. She has an open mouth with four teeth and delicately blushed cheeks. Doll has her original pale blonde mohair wig in soft curls. She is on her original leather body with the early gussets. Her bisque arms are original and have all fingers intact. She wears an antique white eyelet dress that buttons in the back. Doll wears a white slip and eyelet pantaloons Vintage black cotton stockings and vintage cream suede cloth shoes completes her look. She wears a vintage pink taffeta hat. She is in excellent condition with no hairline cracks, chips or scuffs in her bisque. Her body has normal wear with some gusset mends but they are nicely done and she has no sawdust leaks. Doll's clothes are clean with no tears or stains. Marks: Germany P.S. Sch 1901-2. Circa Early 1900's. Doll has a beautiful face that is very appealing.
