Rare Ma Ba Barbie in Pink Evening Made for the Japanese Trade in Original Box. There was a limited number of the Ma Ba Babies made as they were only made for two years. 1986-1988. Mattel and Bandai teamed up to produce these lovely dolls using the old 1960's Barbie molds. They used the 1961 face mold to make Ponytail and Bubble Cut hair styles. This company also made the Twist N' Turn face mold as well. The dolls were sold in Tokyo Japan in a store called The P. B. Store. It stood for Pretty Bunny. This rare doll is dressed in the Pink Evening Fashion. It is a pink satin evening dress with silver stripes. A long white evening coat completes the look. Doll has long soft brunette hair in a ponytail style. She has her original box and doll stand. She has beautiful skin tone that appears darker in photos. Her light coral lips are delicately painted. Doll is in excellent condition never played with and has remained in her box. Doll is marked Mattel Inc. 1966 Malaysia on body. Circa: 1988. Rarely found Japanese Barbie doll. This doll is a consignment piece and can not be on a layaway.
