17" Cuno and Otto Dressel Lady Doll. Dainty lady doll made for the French trade. She has six teeth which are the signs of a fine French doll. Many German doll firms made dolls for the French trade during this time period. Doll has beautiful brown eyes which are in their original stationary set. She has finely painted upper and lower lashes and beautifully feathered brows. Doll has a narrow face and a turned head. She has her original honey blond human wig. Her original leather body has pin joints at the hip. She wears an antique light pink wool dress with sheer cotton netting and lace trim. The dress has some moth holes but they are mostly underneath the netting so they do not detract. Antique black cotton stockings old white pantaloons and a vintage beige silk bonnet completes her look. Doll is in beautiful condition with no hairline cracks or chips in her bisque. Her face has no scuffs or rubs in her fine bisque. Her hair is nice and full with no trims. Marks: COD 93-2 DEP. The mark is under the leather on her back plate. The leather is loose so you can see the marks but they don't show up in a photo. Circa 1890's. Beautiful French style lady doll with an interesting character face.
