A fine English George II walnut and burled walnut veneered chest on chest, the upper case with a molded cornice surmounting three aligned and three graduated drawers, flanked by canted reeded corners, over a lower case with a mid-section dressing slide with leather writing surface, over three graduated drawers, all rising on bracket feet. The drawers feature cross banding with a center burled walnut panel surrounded by featherbanding. The chest on chest dates to the 18th century and is in very good overall condition, with minor veneer and slide top restorations, as well as minor imperfections and wear commensurate with age and use.
