Set of Four Hitchcock Hand Painted Limited Edition Rush Seat Side Chairs Christmas 1988

A fine set of hand painted wooden rush seat side chairs, each with a country farm scene painted and signed by M. Morgan on the back splat, a sprig of holly on each crest, and stenciled across the back of the seat “L. Hitchcock, Hitchcocks-Ville, Connecticut, Warranted,” each numbered from a limited edition of 2000 for Christmas 1988. The front legs and stretcher on each chair are nicely turned with gilt highlights. This set of chairs is in very good overall condition, with minor paint chips on legs, a small split on one of the front stretchers, and light wear commensurate with age and use. Dimensions: Each chair measures approximately 36” H x 18 ½” W x 18” D, with a seat height of 18”. Ref: 10902
