A fine custom mahogany two piece tambour desk in the manner of Boston cabinetmakers John and Thomas Seymour by Bussolini Brothers of West Quincy, Massachusetts featuring an upper case with two tambour doors with satinwood swag inlay, opening to a compartmentalized interior with checkered and column inlay, over a lower case with fold out felted writing surface surmounting two long drawers with hand painted porcelain & brass ring pulls, highlighted with continued checkered inlay borders, supported by four tapered square legs with foliate and bellflower inlay. The desk is in very good to excellent overall condition, with minimal imperfections, felt stains and losses, and light wear commensurate with age and use. The Bussolini brand can be found on the outside left side of the top drawer. Dimensions: 45.5 in H x 37.5 in W x 21 in D. Ref:908
