A good example of a British WWI recruitment poster published by the Parliamentary Recruitment Committee which reads “Forward!, Forward to Victory, Enlist Now” with a cavalryman charging forward on horseback with his sword pointed forward. Propaganda posters such as this were designed to entice young male civilians to enlist in the military. In 1914, the British military consisted of professional soldiers, creating a need to enlist civilians for temporary service during times of war. This poster was the last propaganda poster created and used in the recruitment campaign. The poster is in good condition, with fold creases, water damage along the base, and other surface marks and imperfections. Framed under glass in a modern chrome frame with panel backing. Dimensions: 58” H x 35 ¾”, sight; 58 ¾” H x 36 ⅜” W, framed. Ref:10615
