A fine impressionist landscape with fall colors by English / American artist Harold Broadfield Warren (1859-1934). Warren was born in Manchester, England and moved to Boston in 1876, becoming a student of Herbert Moore and Charles Eliot Norton. He eventually became an instructor in watercolor from 1912 to 1930 at The School of Architecture, Harvard University, and was a member of Copley Society, Boston Society of Architects, Boston Museum of Fine Arts, American Federation of Arts and the Boston Society of Arts and Crafts (Master). He became well known for his landscapes, seascapes, and mountain paintings. Oil on canvas, signed lower left, and housed in a decorative giltwood frame. Minor spot loss near the bottom border, and some frame touch ups. Dimensions: 15” H x 20” W, actual; 22” H x 27” W, framed.
