A wonderful large chromolithograph of the Manchester Locomotive Works in Manchester, New Hampshire, the upper scene depicting the factories, and the lower is a side view of a locomotive and fuel car with plaque “Pioneer” on tracks. Printed left to right under locomotive: "Jno. A. Burnham prest. O.W. Bayley Agt. Wm. G. Means treas". Under the top image is printed lower left “Lorenzo Luthy, del (artist), and under the lower image is printed lower left “Louis Meyer, del (artist). In the lower right is printed “J.H. Bufford’s, Lith, 313 Washington St, Boston”. Very good overall condition, with some toning, discoloring in spots, and slight fade, with minor imperfections and expected wear from age and use. Matted and framed under glass in a wooden frame with gilt inset. Dimensions: 23 in H x 30.75 in W, sight; 32 in H x 39.75 in W, framed. A great piece of New Hampshire railroadiana!
