A fabulous Brazilian midcentury gran captain or “Jangada” lounge chair in jacaranda wood with distressed black tufted leather seat in woven rope sling designed by Jean Gillon and produced by Italma Wood Art, circa 1960. An Italma Wood Art label appears on one leg. Very good overall condition, with minor restoration to the leather seat finish, and other minor imperfections and expected wear from age and use. Retains original leather. Dimensions: 32.25 in H x 39 in W x 42 in D., seat height 12 in.
