A fine vertical White Mountain landscape in New Hampshire, possibly Moat Mountain near North Conway, NH, by American artist Harriette Wood Robinson (1858-1940). Robinson was born in Lewiston, Maine and was a contemporary of artist D.D. Coombs, Lewiston’s “Painter Laureate,” becoming known for her landscapes and still life paintings. Oil on canvas, signed and dated 1900 lower right, with illegible inscription on verso, and housed in a period giltwood frame. Dimensions: 14” h x 11” w, actual; 19” h x 16 ¼” w, framed.
