19th c Italian Renaissance Revival Walnut Savonarola Chair with Inlay

A fine example of a beautifully carved Renaissance Revival walnut Savonarola folding chair, with star and crescent moon inlay on the rounded crest surmounting a pierce carved splat, along with additional flower and dot inlay throughout, scroll carved arms and feet. Italian in origin, probably dating to the late 19th century, in good overall condition, with a warm aged patina, minor imperfections, and some visible edge wear and inlay losses.
