A wonderful hand-carved Jimma chair with tripod legs from a single piece of dense wanza wood, probably made by the Gurage people of Southwest Ethiopia in Africa. Probably dates to the 19th or early 20th century in very good overall condition, with great patina, some minor shrinkage cracks and other imperfections and expected wear from age and use. Dimensions: 43" h x 25" w x 23" d, with a seat height of 18" h.
