A fine example of a nicely carved Shaker stained rod back armed rocking chair, probably maple, with original woven split ash seat, from Alfred, Maine, dating to the 19th century with great overall patina, minor imperfections, and expected wear from age and use. Some of the back rods show some lighter discoloring. Dimensions: 39” h x 22 ¼” w x 37” d.
