A fabulous five piece Plymouth pattern Gorham sterling silver service #2441 & 2445 including coffee & tea pots with hinged lids, cream pitcher, covered sugar and waste bowl., and all pieces are hallmarked with the Gorham touchmarks. All pieces are monogrammed. This set was made for American retailer J.E. Caldwell & Co, Philadelphia, PA. high end retailers of jewelry and silver, established in 1848. The set is also marked with a 1 in a box, indicating 1941 as a manufacturing date. Includes a monogrammed Gorham soldered silver handled serving tray, marked Y1038. The set is in very good condition, with minor surface scratches, surface discoloring and wear, including a small dent dimple on the back side of the cream pitcher. Dimensions: Tray: 18 ½” h x 25” w; Coffee Pot: 9 ¾” h; Teapot: 7 ¼” h; Covered Sugar: 6” h; Cream Pitcher: 6 ½” h; Waste Bowl: 4 ⅜” h. Total sterling piece weight: Approximately 72 Troy oz.
