A fine example of a two part tiger maple bonnet top highboy, the top case featuring a bonnet top with broken swan neck pediment with rosettes and a center cut finial, flanked by two twist flame finials over three fitted small drawers, the center featuring a full radial sunburst carving, over four graduated drawers. The lower case features a single long drawer over three deep fitted drawers, replicating the central full radial sunburst carving of the upper case, over a shaped skirt with two turned shaped drops, all supported by four cabriole legs, terminating with pad feet. New England origin, dating to the 18th century, in very good overall condition, with some drawer repairs, overall restorations, replaced finials, hardware replaced but with antique/period hardware, other imperfections and expected wear.
