A fine impressionist pastel painting of the Boston Common swan boats by American artist Arthur Clifton Goodwin (1864-1929). Born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Goodwin lived and worked most of his life in Massachusetts and New York and is best known for street and waterfront scenes of Boston. Pastel on paper, signed and dated 05 lower left, titled "Swan Boats" on verso Boston Museum of Fine Arts gallery label, matted with a gilt highlight under glass, and housed in a beautiful giltwood frame.
