This is a wonderful example of a high quality reproduction patent alarm timepiece or lighthouse clock, with tapered mahogany cylindrical case with ormolu mounts on an octagonal base with rear hinged door, supported by three gilt ball feet, a 4 ½” diameter brass encased porcelain clock face with steel moon hands, Roman numeral dial inscribed “Simon Willard,” eight-day brass works with a passing strike on a turned bell under a glass dome. The clock is in good working condition, with minimal imperfections and light expected wear from age and use. Some minor white paint splatter on the lower base near the door. Dimensions: 32 ½” h x 9 ½” diameter overall. Dates to the 20th century.
