.A wonderful Art Nouveau advertising poster showing an elegant audience for the revue 'Bruxelles Sans Gène' at the Alcazar Royal, Rue d'Arenberg, Brussels, in 1894. The Belgian artists Edouard J. Duyck (1856-1897) and Adolphe Louis Crespin (1859-1944) collaborated from 1887 on designing costumes and posters for revues at the Alcazar and the Palais d'Eté. This original poster with lightly muted colors is matted and framed in a decorative molded two tone wooden frame, with some edge repairs, discoloring in spots, other imperfections and expected wear from age and use. Two Belgian stamps with 1894 cancellations appear on the lower center of the poster. Dimensions: 40” h x 31” w, sight; 50” h x 40 ½” w, framed.
