Bibendum The Michelin Man Cast Iron Polychrome Advertising Figure for Michelin Tires
A great cast iron advertising figure named Bibendum, now referred to as the Michelin Man, for Michelin tires, in polychrome paint with great overall patina, minimal imperfections, minor paint losses in spots, and expected overall wear from age and use. Some minor separations are visible along the seams. The character Bibendum was originally introduced by Michelin at the Lyon Exhibition in 1894 and has become one of the oldest advertising trademarks in the world. Dimensions: 22 ½” h x 10” w x 8” d on a 7” diameter base. A great addition to your automobile or advertising collection!
