Griffin was born in Philadelphia, PA and studied at the National Academy of Design in NY, and exhibited many of his works in New York while studying there. He later moved to Baltimore, opening a studio and becoming an established painter of impressionist landscapes. Oil on canvas, signed lower right, and housed in a decorative giltwood frame, with a few minor edge losses. Dimensions: 16” h x 24” w, actual; 21 ⅜” h x 29 ⅜” w, framed.
