A fine Regency style mahogany lyre-base console table with inlaid satinwood banded drop-leaf top, round hand-painted porcelain and brass pulls on each of the two fitted frieze drawers, each bordered with checkered inlay, which continues along the bottom edge of frieze, all supported by a center turned stretcher and carved lyre form sides with foliate carved and reeded legs terminating with brass paw feet. Included is a copy of the H. Saks & Sons mid-20th century catalog page identifying the piece as a “Cabot Sofa Table” in the manner of its original, circa 1810 counterpart. Excellent overall condition, with minor imperfections, and light wear from age and use. Dimensions: 29" h x 48" w (open) x 24" d. The table measures 36" w, closed.
