A Louis XV style French boulle bracket clock with matching mounted top and wall-mounted bracket, an elaborate case with ormolu mounts, scroll brass inlay and mock red tortoise shell veneers, raised upon scroll feet, 8.5 inch cast gilt foliate decorated dial with twelve Roman numeral cartouches and outside count wheel, and original gilt sunburst pendulum bob. The mounted top is adorned with a brass winged cherub finial with horn. Dates to the 19th century. Provenance: From the George Long collection. The clock, with brass works, is in good working condition, with minor surface restorations, other imperfections, and expected wear from age and use. Dimensions: Overall: 42" h x 16" w x 7 1/2" d.
