A fine example of a two part pine schoolmaster’s desk with lift top with molded edge in the upper case to reveal an interior with four fitted drawers, over a lower case with one long drawer, period brass eagle pulls, supported by four tapered legs. Fine dovetail construction and it has retained its original finish. Dates to the late 18th or early 19th century. Very good condition, with minor break repairs, restorations, interior ink stains, as well as other imperfections, and expected wear from age and use. Dimensions: 49” h x 37” w x 23 ¾” d.
