An exceptional cherry chest on chest with split pediment bonnet top with rosettes, flame finials, an upper case with a center deep drawer with a spectacular radial fan carved front, over five graduated long drawers, a lower case with three long drawers, all supported by four bracket feet. This piece is probably made in Connecticut, circa 1765, with replaced brasses. Excellent overall condition, w/ minor finish and other restorations, imperfections, and expected wear from age and use. Some minor losses on bonnet edges. Lip repairs, shrinkage cracks, etc.
