This nicely done winter landscape of Dublin, New Hampshire was done by American artist Ernest Franklin Tyler (1879-1951). Tyler was a New York artist, architect, and prominent designer, as well as a great-grandson of John J. Audubon. He was one of the principals of the New York decorating firm Mack, Tenney, and Tyler, which operated from 1906-1941.He was also a member of the Century Association. Oil on canvas, signed and dated lower left “Ernest F. Tyler, Dublin, NH, ‘09,” and housed in its original giltwood frame. Dimensions: 33” h x 45” w, actual; 36 ½” h x 48 ½” w, framed.
