This nicely detailed oil painting still life with fruit was painted by American artist Annie M. Snyder (1852-1927). Snyder was born in Salona, PA and had little art training, selling paintings through Wanamaker’s in Philadelphia, and Macy’s in New York. She is primarily known for her still life paintings of fruits and nuts, as well as landscapes and portraits. Oil on canvas, signed lower right, and housed in a period giltwood frame. Dimensions: 14” h x 20” w, actual; 19 ¼” h x 25 ½” w, framed.
