A fine walnut two part bonnet top highboy with a warm brown finish, with split pediment flanking a central urn and twist carved finial surmounting the top case with central fan carved drawer flanked by two small fitted drawers, over four graduated long drawers. The lower case has a single long drawer over three fitted drawers, the center of which features another carved radial fan, all supported by four cabriole legs with pad feet. The pierced brasses are probably not original to the piece. Probably 18th century Massachusetts in origin. Excellent overall condition, with minor drawer front losses, imperfections and light expected wear from age and use. Dimensions: 79 ¼” h x 40 ¼” w x 22 ¼” d.
