A fine Centennial Philadelphia Chippendale style walnut highboy with bonnet top, flame finials, an upper case with three fitted small drawers over four graduated long drawers, the central upper fitted drawer with a radiating fan carving, quarter column reeded pilasters, lower case with waist molding, two small drawers over two fitted deep drawers, a nicely carved skirt, all supported by four cabriole legs terminating with nicely detailed webbed ball and claw feet. Very good overall condition with a warm brown finish, some slight fading, minor drawer front losses, shrinkage cracks in both cases, other surface imperfections and expected wear. Dates to the late 19th or early 20th century. Dimensions: 87 ¼” h x 40 ½” w x 22” d.
