This wonderful patinated cast bronze of a greyhound or greyhound crossbreed (lurcher) dog was originally done by French sculptor Jules-Edmond Masson (1871-1932), well known for his figurative and animal sculptures. The bronze is in very good overall condition, with great patina, minor pitting and light expected surface wear from age and use. Mounted on a black stone plinth, with a few edge losses and spots, and signed “Masson” on sculpture base. Dimensions: Bronze: 15 ½” h x 12” w x 2 ⅞” d, Base: 1 ¼” h x 20 ½” w x 10” d.
