This beautiful coastal oil painting of summer rocks on the ocean was painted by Canadian artist George Loftus Noyes (1864-1954). Noyes was born in Bothwell, Ontario and later moved to the Boston area, finally settling in Peterborough, New Hampshire. Noyes was well known for his landscapes and harbor scenes. Oil on canvas, signed lower right, and housed in a splendid giltwood frame with artist nameplate. Dimensions: 16” h x 22” w, actual; 26 ½” h x 30” w, framed.
