This colorful pastel landscape was done by American artist Dave Stout (20th c.). Born in Nebraska he moved to Colorado as a young boy and spent many summers in the Rocky Mountains camping and fishing and observing his surroundings. His interest in art began in High School and he continued to develop his passion through his formal education at Rocky Mountain School of Art and Design, Colorado Institute of Art and the Art Students League of Denver. His paintings have been exhibited in many National and Regional shows including; The Knickerbocker, Pastel Society of America, Pastel Society of the West Coast and The Artists of the West Exhibition, and Wadle Galleries Ltd. His work has also been represented in galleries in Colorado and Arizona. Pastel on paper, signed lower right, titled on verso Taos Connections Gallery label as well as inscribed “Full Moon in Glacier Park,” double matted and housed under glass in a simple molded giltwood frame.
