An unsigned seated bronze of Roman or Greek god Mercury or Hermes, mounted on a gray stone carved stepped plinth, probably Continental, dating to the early to mid-20th century. Removable modesty leaf with broken tip. Nice overall patina and presentation. Very good overall condition, with minor surface scratches, imperfections, and expected wear from age and use. Provenance: Acquired from a Maine estate. Dimensions: Overall 21" h x 11" w x 18" d.
