A beautiful example of a French porcelain electrified hanging lantern, possibly Samson, done in the Chinese Export style, with open panels and reticulated top, with foliate decoration and gilt highlights. The bottom has a clear glass round panel, signed “France”. The fixture has not been tested. Probably dates to the late 19th or early 20th century, electrified in the 20th century. Overall excellent condition, with minor imperfections and expected wear from age and use. Dimensions: 19” h x 8 ½” in diameter.
