Early 20th c Marceau Photography Wooden Advertising Sign
A fine early wooden advertising sign which reads “Marceau Photographer” in gold lettering, possibly from the early chain of photography studios of Theodore Marceau, a well known photographer specializing in theatrical portraiture, with studios in New York, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, San Francisco, and Boston from 1890-1922. This one-sided shop sign is in good overall condition, with typical exterior soiling, staining, imperfections, sun fade and expected wear from age and use. Dimensions: 34” h x 54 ¼” w x ¾” d.
