This presentation sterling silver porringer was given as a corporate gift and is inscribed on the front as follows “To Robert Anderson from Henry R. Luce and the rest of his mother’s friends at Time Inc.” Robert Anderson (1917-2007) was the chairman of Atlantic Richfield Co (ARCO) for over two decades, the sixth largest oil company at the time, leaving in 1986 to pursue other interests. Henry R. Luce (1898-1967) was the creator and editor-in-chief of several of America’s most successful publications including Time, Life, Fortune, and Sports Illustrated. The porringer has a Tiffany & Co Sterling stamp on the base and is in excellent overall condition, with minor surface rubs and minimal expected wear. Dimensions: 1 ⅜” h x 6 ⅝” w at handle, x 4 ½” diameter bowl.
