This wonderful landscape with cows grazing under a tree near Mount Monadnock in southern New Hampshire titled “Pastoral Monadnock” was painted by contemporary American artist Erick Ingraham (1950-). Ingraham was born in Philadelphia, PA and became a well-established Monadnock region artist in New Hampshire, not only for his children's book illustrations, but for his detailed landscapes as well. He is now a resident of Colorado. Oil on panel, signed lower right, and housed in a beautiful custom-made black wooden frame with decorative inset by Christopher Ingraham, the artist’s brother.
