An interesting two part Southern German pine two part postmaster’s desk, dating to the 19th century, with a locking drop down front panel which opens to reveal reveals a compartmentalized interior and built in safe, and bread board style top. The base has two locking fitted drawers, and nicely turned legs. The piece has dovetail construction with a nice light overall patina and is in very good condition, with minor imperfections and light expected wear from age and use. Includes two keys.
