Marian Williams Steele Impressionist Oil Painting of Lambs or Sheep
A fine impressionist oil painting of lambs or sheep done by American artist Marian Williams Steele (1912-2001). Steele was born in Trenton, New Jersey and went on to become a prolific and renowned impressionist painter of landscapes, portraits and marine paintings. She was a member of several prestigious art associations including the Guild of Boston Artists, and won over hundred awards for her work. Oil on board, signed lower left, mounted, and framed in a decorative wooden frame. Dimensions: 8” h x 13” w, actual; 17 ⅜” h x 22 ⅜” w, framed.
