Aiden Lasell Ripley Pencil Signed Etching - Quail Shooting
This fine sporting etching was done by American artist Aiden Lasell Ripley (1896-1969). Ripley was born in Boston, and went on to become one of Boston’s most beloved artists, devoting his work to wildlife subjects. He was the president of the Guild of Boston Artists for ten years. Etching on paper, pencil titled lower left “Quail Shooting,” and pencil signed lower right, also marked lower left “Beck Gravure,” double matted and framed in a black wooden frame, with some edge rubs. Dimensions: 9 1/2” h x 14 1/2” w, sight; 19” h x 23” w, framed.
