A fine example of an early caneware covered tureen or game pie dish with basket weave design and ornamental hunting game decoration on the cover, including a hare or rabbit knop, birds, etc. Unsigned, probably English Wedgwood, circa 1800. Very good overall condition, with minimal imperfections, some interior discoloring, and expected wear from age and use. Dimensions: 7” h x 14 ½” w x 10” d.
